As I was trying to come up with something to write for the blog, I came across a list that recognizes a variety of different awareness for the months. One that caught my attention and happens to be for the month of November, is National Family Caregivers Month. There are many of us that know someone caring for a family member, whether it is for your own family or someone else. In my own family, I watched my grandmother take care of my mother who was fighting cancer when I was 18. As I look back and reflect on the past, I realize how difficult it must have been for her...to care for a terminal child. My grandmother, age 94, is still with us today…yep…that’s right. She is an amazing woman who I can only wish to be like some day. She spent much of her life caring for people…she truly was good at what she did. Today, she still volunteers at the hospital…truly amazing!
Take the time today to let that special someone know how much you appreciate them.
